SO WE'LL MOVE TO AGENDA ITEM E 1, THE PUBLIC HEARING, AND I'LL TURN IT OVER TO DOCTOR AZAIEZ TO GET US STARTED.

SO THEY WERE AMAZING.

NOW I WILL TURN IT OVER TO THE SUPERINTENDENT FOR OUR TAPR REPORT.

ABSOLUTELY. GOOD EVENING AGAIN.

AND WITH US IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW, BUT WE HAD TO POSTPONE THE TAPR CONVERSATION.

USUALLY WE HAVE THAT AROUND JANUARY, AND BECAUSE OF THE LAWSUIT THAT IS FILED AGAINST TEA AND THE ACCOUNTABILITY SYSTEM, EVERYTHING HAS TO BE PUSHED BACK.

AS YOU PROBABLY WILL NOTICE, I KNOW ERICA WILL TALK ABOUT A LITTLE BIT MORE.

THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT WE WEREN'T ABLE TO SHARE WITH YOU, SIMPLY BECAUSE, AGAIN, WE DID NOT RELEASE, WEREN'T ABLE TO RELEASE ACCOUNTABILITY, SOME ACCOUNTABILITY RESULTS AND RATINGS. HOWEVER, WE GO THROUGH SOME OF THE STUFF THAT IS AVAILABLE ALREADY AND RELEASED BY TEA.

SO WITH NO WITH WITHOUT ANY MORE DELAY, I WOULD LIKE TO ERICA AND ALSO ZACH WITH US THIS EVENING TO HELP US GO THROUGH THIS TAPR REPORT.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PRESENTATION IS TO MEET THE TRUSTEE OBLIGATIONS UNDER TEXAS EDUCATION CODE, TO PUBLISH AN ANNUAL REPORT, AND TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS THE REPORT.

THESE ARE THE COMPONENTS OF THE ANNUAL REPORT THAT'S REQUIRED BY THE STATE THAT WE INCLUDE IN THE ANNUAL REPORT AND THE ANNUAL REPORT.

AND THE PUBLIC HEARING IS TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

WE'RE GOING TO TOUCH ON MOST OF THIS THIS YEAR.

BUT THE ANNUAL REPORT IS WAY BIGGER.

IT'S ALL OF THE THE CAMPUSES TAPR REPORTS.

IT'S WE'RE, IT'S THE PROGRESS TOWARDS OUR HOUSE BILL THREE, WHICH IS NEW THIS YEAR.

SO IT'S PROBABLY A COUPLE HUNDRED PAGES WORTH OF DOCUMENTS.

SO WE JUST THIS IS GOING TO BE AN OVERVIEW OF THE DATA AS WE GO THROUGH.

AND WE TRY TO PULL THINGS THAT REALLY REVOLVE AROUND OUR HOUSE.

BILL THREE GOALS.

CAN WE FORWARD THE SLIDE, PLEASE? YEAH. SO, BY LAW, WE'RE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE DOCUMENTS POSTED IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLACES HERE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THIS MEETING TONIGHT.

SO MY TEAM IS BUSY WORKING, GETTING ALL THE DATA PIECES TOGETHER.

AND SO THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE BY, FEBRUARY 29TH.

SO WE'RE GOING TO BEGIN WITH OUR DISTRICT ACCREDITATION STATUS.

WE WERE ACCREDITED FOR THE 20 2223 SCHOOL YEAR.

AS DOCTOR AZAIEZ MENTIONED IN THE BEGINNING, BECAUSE OF THE LITIGATION, OUR RATINGS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION DETERMINATION, STATUS AND OUR ACCOUNTABILITY RATINGS FOR 2023 HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED.

AND I KNOW THAT SAYS IT'S DECEMBER.

THAT'S HOW LONG WE'VE BEEN WORKING ON THAT.

SO I APOLOGIZE THAT WE DIDN'T UPDATE THAT TO AS OF FEBRUARY.

IF AND WHEN THE RATINGS AND THE STATUS IS RELEASED FOR 2023, WE WILL UPDATE THE ANNUAL REPORT TO REFLECT THAT.

OUR FINANCIAL STANDARDS REPORTS.

ESSENTIALLY, WHAT WE WANT TO TALK ABOUT WITH THIS IS THAT WE JUST HIGHLIGHT THAT OUR REVENUE, THE MAJORITY OF OUR REVENUE COMES FROM OUR LOCAL TAXES, WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM

OVERALL THE STATE'S REVENUE.

I ALSO WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THERE'S A LINK THERE IN THE REPORT THAT TAKES YOU TO TO THE OVERALL REPORT.

AND THEN THERE ARE OTHER, FINANCIAL REPORTS.

THAT JUST GIVES US A GREAT AMOUNT OF INFORMATION THAT'S GOING TO BE IN THE THE THE ANNUAL REPORT.

I'LL BE REVIEWING THE DISTRICT'S VIOLENT AND CRIMINAL INCIDENTS DATA AND THE TRENDS OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS.

SO SLIDE NINE DISPLAYS THE OVERALL TOTAL NUMBER OF DISCIPLINARY INCIDENTS OVER THOSE FIVE YEARS.

THAT IS ALL OF OUR REFERRALS JUST TO KIND OF ORIENT OURSELVES WITH THE DATA.

AS YOU LOOK ABOVE, THE 20 1819 DATA IS THE GRAY BAR.

AND THAT REFLECTED THE FULL YEAR BEFORE WE SHUT DOWN FOR THE PANDEMIC.

THE 1920 DISCIPLINARY DATA UNTIL, REFLECTS THE STATEWIDE SHUTDOWN AT SPRING BREAK.

SO YOU'RE MISSING A PRETTY ACTIVE LAST TEN WEEKS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND SPRING DISCIPLINARY DATA.

20 TO 21 IS A NAVY.

THAT WAS THE YEAR THE MAJORITY OF OUR STUDENTS LEARNED, ESPECIALLY AT THE SECONDARY LEVEL, LEARN FROM HOME.

21-22 WAS A RETURN TO CAMPUS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME VIRTUAL LEARNERS OFFERED FROM K TO SIX.

AND OF COURSE, LAST YEAR'S DATA IS REPRESENTED IN THAT FINAL BLUE COLUMN.

UPON REVIEW, YOU'LL NOTICE THAT WE DID SEE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN THE OVERALL NUMBER OF INCIDENTS AT THE ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVELS, COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS 21-22 SCHOOL YEAR. HOWEVER, YOU'LL ALSO NOTICE THAT OUR OVERALL NUMBER OF INCIDENTS FOR THE YEAR WAS FAR BELOW OUR LAST FULL YEAR OF PRE-COVID DATA FROM THE 18-19 SCHOOL YEAR ON THE FAR LEFT. AND SO OF THE DISCIPLINARY EVENTS SEEN ON THE PREVIOUS SLIDE, YOU'LL NOTICE THAT WHILE THE NUMBER OF VIOLENT AND CRIMINAL OFFENSES MAKES UP JUST A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF INCIDENTS OVERALL, AS A DISTRICT, WE HAVE SEEN A SLIGHT INCREASE AT THE ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVELS COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS YEAR.

PLEASE REMEMBER, THE MIDDLE NAVY BLUE COLUMN REPRESENTS THE 20-21 SCHOOL YEAR WHEN THE MAJORITY OF OUR STUDENTS WERE LEARNING FROM HOME.

SO WHILE THE OVERALL NUMBER OF INCIDENTS INCIDENTS WAS MINIMAL, THE PERCENTAGE OF THOSE INCIDENTS LABELED AS VIOLENT OR CRIMINAL MADE UP A LARGER PIECE OF THE PIE THAN IN MOST YEARS, DUE TO THE FACT THAT REFERRALS WERE PRIMARILY USED FOR MORE SERIOUS OR SEVERE VIOLATIONS OF THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.

SLIDE TO SLIDE 11 DISPLAYS A CATEGORICAL BREAKDOWN OF VIOLENT CRIMINAL INCIDENTS OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS.

THOUGH WE HAVE SEEN AN OVERALL INCREASE IN THESE OFFENSES, I THINK IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO NOTICE THE DRAMATIC INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF REFERRALS FOR THC, VAPING AND OR MARIJUANA. IN 20-21, WE HAD 26 INCIDENTS LIKE THIS, AND 21-22 WE HAD 277.

AND IN THE 22-23 SCHOOL YEAR, WE HAD 341.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THIS TOPIC IN THE FUTURE IS THE INTRODUCTION OF HOUSE BILL 114, WHICH MANDATES THAT DAP PLACEMENTS FOR NON THC E-CIGARETTE VAPES AS WELL.

SO THESE ARE THESE ARE TOBACCO AS WELL.

THUS FAR THIS YEAR, THOUGH, WE'VE ONLY SEEN A TOTAL OF 51 PLACEMENTS.

THIS WAS THAT SEMESTER.

FOR NON THC VAPES.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, WE'RE WORKING WITH OUR DAP ALONG WITH OUR COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT TO EDUCATE OUR STUDENTS, OUR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, AND OUR STAKEHOLDERS ON THE DANGERS OF VAPING. ALL RIGHT.

SLIDE 12 WILL NOW TRANSITION TO MORE OF AN ACADEMIC AND INSTRUCTIONAL TOPICS, INCLUDING OUR CAMPUS PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES.

AS YOU KNOW, EACH YEAR OUR CAMPUSES UTILIZE THE DISTRICT'S STRATEGIC GOALS AS A FRAMEWORK TO DRIVE IMPROVEMENT FOR OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF.

PRINCIPLES HELP GUIDE THE CAMPUS TO THE CAMPUS NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROCESS TO ANALYZE THEIR PROCESS, AND TO DEVELOP INDIVIDUALIZED CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS TO WORK TOWARDS ACHIEVING THOSE GOALS.

TONIGHT, WE'LL FOCUS PRIMARILY ON GOALS TWO AND SIX AS THEY ALIGN DIRECTLY WITH HOUSE BILL THREE.

OKAY. SLIDE 14 DISPLAYS EXAMPLES OF PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES ALIGNED WITH STRATEGIC GOAL TWO.

WHILE WE'RE ALWAYS FOCUSED ON EXCELLENCE AND GROWTH IN ALL SUBJECTS, WE'VE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AS A DISTRICT OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS, FOCUSING ON THE FOUNDATIONAL PIECES OF EARLY LITERACY AND EARLY NUMERACY.

THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A VARIETY OF TOOLS AND STRATEGIES, OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF HAVE MADE A GREAT DEAL OF PROGRESS IN BOTH THESE AREAS IN THE LAST TWO YEARS.

STRATEGIC GOAL SIX FOCUSES ON LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL.

AND THIS SLIDE SHOWS SOME OF OUR PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE EXAMPLES ALIGNED WITH THIS GOAL.

OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS, WE'VE DONE A GREAT DEAL OF WORK IN THIS AREA, SPECIFICALLY ON IMPROVING OUR CAMPUS AND DISTRICT'S COLLEGE CAREER AND MILITARY READINESS PERCENTAGES, WHICH YOU'LL HEAR MORE ABOUT LATER IN THIS PRESENTATION.

ONCE AGAIN, THOUGH, THE USE OF THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT ARE THROUGH THE THROUGH THE USE OF THE NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROCESS, OUR CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND PROGRESS MONITORING

MEASURES, CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS AND THEIR TEAMS ARE ABLE TO DEVELOP PLANS SPECIFICALLY FOR THEIR CAMPUS AND THEIR NEEDS TO CONTINUE TO GROW.

STAKEHOLDERS ARE ABLE TO ACCESS EACH CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS ALONG WITH OTHER INFORMATION AT THIS WEBSITE.

AND AT THIS POINT, I'LL GO AHEAD AND HAND IT BACK OVER TO MISS SIMMONS.

THANK YOU ZACH. PROGRESS TOWARDS MEETING HOUSEHOLD BILL THREE GOALS FOR EARLY LITERACY, EARLY MATH AND COLLEGE AND MILITARY READY.

THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT WE ARE GOING TO BE INCLUDING THIS DATA, NOT ONLY IN OUR PUBLIC HEARING, BUT ALSO IN OUR ANNUAL REPORT, BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN, COVID DISRUPTED THE PATTERN. SO WE WE STARTED WITH THE DISTRICT AND THEN CAMPUSES ADOPTED THEIR GOALS, AT THE END OF THE 2020 SCHOOL YEAR.

AND THEN INTERRUPTION AND WE CAME BACK WITH NEW BOARD MEMBERS, REESTABLISHED OUR GOALS.

AND SO LAST YEAR WAS THE FIRST YEAR THAT CAMPUSES ACTUALLY HAD CAMPUS GOALS.

SO THAT'S GOING TO BE IN OUR ANNUAL REPORT.

BUT WHAT WE WANT TO TALK ABOUT TONIGHT IS THE PROGRESS AT THE DISTRICT LEVEL OVERALL, JUST OUR GOALS, NOT OUR GPMS, BUT OUR BUT THE DISTRICT GPMS WILL ALSO BE IN THE ANNUAL REPORT. SO BEFORE WE GET WITH THAT, WE JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE THAT'S WATCHING KNOW WHAT OUR COLOR CODING IS GOING TO MEAN.

SO ON TRACK IS JUST GOING TO MEAN THAT OUR LATEST PERFORMANCE, WHICH IS GOING TO BE TAPR TONIGHT.

AND OUR GOALS IS GOING TO SAY WHETHER OR NOT WE'RE ON TRACK, EITHER WE HIT OR WE EXCEEDED THAT TARGET FOR 2023.

SLIGHTLY OFF TRACK.

IF WE'RE WITHIN FOUR PERCENTAGE POINTS AND I KNOW YOU THINK FOUR PERCENTAGE POINTS SLIGHTLY, IS NOT SLIGHTLY OFF TRACK, BUT WE HAD TO COME UP WITH A METER BECAUSE LATER IN OUR GOALS, SOME OF OUR WE'RE WANTING TO CLOSE THOSE GAPS.

AND WE HAVE SOME OF OUR STUDENT GROUPS GROWING BY 10% FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT.

SO, IT IS ARBITRARY.

IF WE FIND THAT THAT IS NOT APPROPRIATE, WE WILL MAKE ADJUSTMENTS NEXT YEAR.

AND THEN OFF TRACK IS IF THEY'RE GREATER THAN 4% PERCENTAGE POINTS AWAY FROM THE TARGET.

SO OUR BOARD GO ONE HERE FOR EARLY LITERACY.

THE GOAL FOR THIS STRATEGIC IS LIKE DOCTOR ODOM JUST MENTIONED IS THAT THIS IS OUR STRATEGIC GOAL FOR THE DISTRICT.

AND WE WANTED TO GET TO 80% OF OUR K THROUGH TWO SECOND GRADERS BEING ON BEING AT OR ABOVE BENCHMARK BY THE END OF 2024.

THIS IS THE FOUNDATIONAL WORK FOR US GETTING TO THOSE KIDS TO MEETS GRADE LEVEL WHEN THEY GET THE THIRD GRADE.

SO HERE IS A FOUR YEAR TREND OF OUR STUDENTS AT THIRD GRADE MEETS GRADE LEVEL ON THE READING STAR.

WE ALWAYS WANT TO GO BACK AND TRY TO CAPTURE THAT 2019 YEAR, BECAUSE WE WANT TO SEE IF WE'RE RECOVERING, IF WE'RE IF WE'RE GETTING BACK TO THOSE LEVELS WHERE WE PERFORMED.

AND WE CAN SEE HERE FOR OUR READING THAT IN 2021, WE WEREN'T THERE, BUT WE HAD REALLY LOW PARTICIPATION.

STUDENTS DIDN'T COME OUT AND TAKE THE ASSESSMENTS AT THREE THROUGH EIGHT.

HIGH SCHOOL, OF COURSE, BECAUSE IT WAS A REQUIREMENT TO GRADUATE.

WE HAD HIGHER PARTICIPATION RATES THERE, BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE GREAT PARTICIPATION RATES IN 2021.

BUT WE SEE IN 2022 THAT WE WE RECOVERED BACK TO BEFORE WE'RE HIGHER THAN WE WERE IN 2019 AT OUR THIRD GRADE READING.

AND WE CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THAT PERFORMANCE EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A SLIGHT DROP IN 2023 WITH THE NEW CHANGES IN THE STAAR ASSESSMENT, BECAUSE THAT WAS THE YEAR LAST YEAR THAT THEY INCLUDED WRITING NOW IN THE READING ASSESSMENT.

SO WE DID HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A DECREASE, BUT WE STILL HELD STEADY.

HERE, THIS IS DEMONSTRATES OR DISPLAYS OUR FIVE YEAR TARGETS THAT THE WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD FOR OUR THIRD GRADE READING. AND WE CAN SEE FOR 2023 TAPR WE WERE AT 66% WHICH IS SIX PERCENTAGE POINTS ABOVE OUR TARGET FOR 2023.

SO THAT WE SEE THAT WE'RE ON TRACK FOR MEETING OUR GOAL OF 2020 AND 2026 OF 76%.

ALSO AT THE BOTTOM THERE DISPLAYS THE TARGETS AND WHAT WE ACHIEVED ON TAPR FOR OUR STUDENT GROUPS.

AND FOR THIS THIRD GRADE READING, WE SEE THAT FOR ALL OF OUR STUDENT GROUPS, WE WERE ABLE TO TO HIT OUR TARGETS, AND WE'RE BE ON TRACK FOR OUR 2024 SCHOOL YEAR.

BOARD GOAL 2, EARLY LITERACY AND THE STRATEGIC GOAL AROUND THAT.

AGAIN OUR K THROUGH SECOND GRADERS FOR 2024 SCHOOL YEAR, WE WANT TO HAVE 70% OF OUR STUDENTS IN THOSE GRADES BEING AT OR ABOVE LEVEL IN OUR AIMSWEB PLUS SCREENER.

AND AGAIN, OUR FOUR YEAR TRENDS WITH GOING BACK BEFORE COVID.

WE HAVEN'T, EVEN THOUGH WE SET OUR TARGETS IN MATH BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THAT WE WOULD RECOVER FASTER IN MATH.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU GUYS REMEMBER THOSE CONVERSATIONS IN THE DAY THAT WE HAD, BUT IT'S ACTUALLY TURNED OUT TO BE THE OPPOSITE.

WE'RE RECOVERING SLOWER AT MATH.

WE CAN SEE EVEN IN 2023, WE HAVEN'T HIT THE LEVELS THAT WE HAD IN 2019.

BUT WE ARE GROWING.

OUR FIVE YEAR TARGET AGAIN, 2026.

WE WANT TO BE AT THAT 76% WE SEE FOR 2023, WE WERE ONE PERCENTAGE POINT AWAY FROM OUR TARGET, SO WE ARE SLIGHTLY OFF TRACK WITH OUR THIRD GRADE, BEING ACHIEVING MEETS GRADE LEVEL ON OUR STAR.

AND AT THE BOTTOM WITH OUR STUDENT GROUPS, WE SEE THAT WE HAVE SOME STUDENT GROUPS THAT ARE OFF TRACK.

SO WE DO HAVE SOME WORK TO GET DONE THERE AT THOSE LEVELS, AT THOSE STUDENT GROUP LEVELS.

COLLEGE CAREER AND MILITARY READY.

THIS YEAR WE CHANGED OUR STRATEGIC, THIS STRATEGIC TARGET AS WELL AS OUR GPMS TO REFLECT MORE OF HOW KIDS GET CCMR READY WITH THESE ADVANCED COURSES OR OUR DUAL CREDIT COURSES, AS OPPOSED TO BEFORE WE WERE LOOKING AT ENROLLMENT IF THEY RECEIVED CREDIT, BUT BEING ENROLLED IN RECEIVING CREDIT DIDN'T MEAN THEY WERE CCMR. THEY HAD TO PASS THOSE EXAMS. AND SO THAT'S WHAT OUR TARGET NOW LOOKS LIKE.

SO IF WE'RE LOOKING AT OUR FOUR YEAR TREND AND WE WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT OUR CCMR IS A LAGGING INDICATOR.

SO WE'RE IN THE 2024 SCHOOL YEAR.

BUT HERE WE'RE STILL TALKING ABOUT OUR 2022 GRADUATES.

AND SO FOR OUR CLASS OF 2022, WE DID DISCUSS THIS A LITTLE BIT IN OUR LAST MONTH'S BOARD MEETING WHERE WE DID HAVE THAT DROP OFF FOR OUR CLASS OF 2022.

SO YOU'LL SEE LATER ON IN THE SLIDE THAT WE HAD ALMOST A DOUBLE DIGIT DROP IN KIDS TAKING SAT AND ACT FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR, THAT SCHOOL YEAR.

AGAIN, OUR FIVE YEAR TARGETS, AND BECAUSE OF THE DROP IN WHERE OUR TARGET WAS, YOU CAN SEE THAT WE ARE WE'RE OFF TRACK NOT ONLY OVERALL, BUT OFF TRACK FOR THE MAJORITY OF OUR STUDENT GROUPS. SO A LOT OF WORK TO BE DONE HERE THAT WE HAVE STARTED LAST SCHOOL YEAR.

THE WORK, IT LOOKS GOOD.

I'M, WE'RE HOPING THAT WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO EXCEED OUR 2019 TARGET BASED ON THE WAY THAT WE TRACKED IT LOCALLY, BUT WE DO HAVE TO VALIDATE THAT OVER TIME.

NOW WE'RE GOING TO GET INTO OUR STUDENTS POST-SECONDARY PERFORMANCE.

SO HERE THE DATA FROM THIS, THIS SECTION COMES FROM TWO SOURCES, OF COURSE, OUR TAPR.

AND THEN WE HAVE THE TEXAS EDUCATION COORDINATING BOARD WHICH PUTS OUT REPORTS.

AND WHAT THEY DO IS THEY TRACK HOW STUDENTS ENROLL IN COLLEGE THE ACADEMIC YEAR AFTER GRADUATION.

AND THEY ONLY TRACK KIDS ENROLLING IN TEXAS UNIVERSITIES.

SO WE DO HAVE 31% OF OUR 2021 GRADUATES ENROLLING IN FOUR YEAR PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AND 19% IN TWO YEAR.

THIS SHOWS THE RATE AT WHICH OUR STUDENTS AT ROUND ROCK ISD IS ENROLLING IN COLLEGE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL COMPARED TO THE STATE AS WELL AS THE REGION.

AND THEN IT GOES AND GIVES A FURTHER BREAKDOWN BASED ON OUR STUDENT GROUPS.

SO WE DO SEE THAT WE CONTINUE TO PERFORM, HAVE A HIGHER ENROLLMENT FOR OUR STUDENTS THAT GRADUATE HERE THAN THE STATE AND THE REGION.

AND MOST OF OUR STUDENT GROUPS ALSO OUTPERFORM THOSE TWO GROUPS.

THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF OF OF SCHOOL IS TO GET US READY IF WE GO TO COLLEGE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN COLLEGE.

RIGHT. SO THIS REPORT DEMONSTRATES HOW OUR STUDENTS PERFORM GRADE WISE, GPA WISE.

AND THE MAIN POINT HERE IS THAT WE HAVE ALMOST 80% OF OUR KIDS THAT GO TO THOSE FOUR YEAR PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES, HAVING A 3.0 OR BETTER. NOW WE'RE GOING TO GET MORE INTO THE ACTUAL TAPR REPORT DATA.

WE'RE GOING TO START WITH OUR STAR PERFORMANCE.

AND SOME TERMS THAT WE JUST WANT TO REFRESH OUR MEMORY ON ANNUAL GROWTH, WHICH WE'RE USED TO SEEING.

THAT'S ONE YEAR'S WORTH OF GROWTH.

AND IT'S FOR ELA AND MATH ONLY.

AND WHAT WAS NEW FOR THE 2023 ACCOUNTABILITY WAS CALLED ACCELERATED LEARNING, WHICH IS STUDENTS THE PRIOR YEAR WHO DID NOT MEET GRADE LEVEL ON THE MATH, THE READING STAAR.

AND THEN FOR THIS PAST YEAR THEY WERE APPROACHES ARE HIGHER.

SO HERE'S HOW OUR STUDENTS ARE PERFORMING IN COMPARISON TO THE STATE AND THE REGION.

AT THE PERFORMANCE LEVELS FOR OUR RLA AND OUR MATHEMATICS.

AND WE CAN SEE HERE THAT WE DO HAVE AT LEAST 60% OF OUR KIDS IN BOTH OF THE SUBJECTS THAT ARE PERFORMING AT MEETS GRADE LEVEL.

THAT'S K I MEAN, THREE THROUGH ALGEBRA ONE AND THEN THREE THROUGH ENGLISH TWO FOR THESE REPORTS.

AND THEN WE HAVE 60% OF OUR KIDS WHO MEETS GRADE LEVEL IN BOTH.

SO THAT'S ERIKA BEING MEETS GRADE LEVEL IN MATH AND READING, NOT ZACH, WHO COULD HAVE BEEN MEETS GRADE LEVEL IN MATH AND JUST WAS JUST HORRIBLE AT READING, YOU KNOW, SO THE MEETS GRADE LEVEL IN BOTH AND THAT'S 60% OF OUR KIDS K THROUGH ENGLISH TWO.

AGAIN HOW STUDENTS ARE PERFORMING COMPARED TO THE STATE ACROSS THE PROFICIENCY LEVELS FOR SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES.

AGAIN, WE SEE THAT WE HAVE A STRONG PERCENTAGE OF OUR KIDS THAT THAT MEETS GRADE LEVEL, WHICH IS WHERE WE ACTUALLY WANT THEM.

AND IT DOESN'T MATTER. THIS SUBJECT IS NOT IN ALL SUBJECTS.

WE'D LIKE TO HAVE THEM AT MEETS GRADE LEVEL OR HIGHER.

AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT OUR ANNUAL GROWTH.

WE CAN SEE WHERE WE ARE FOR OUR MATH AND OUR ROA FOR 2023.

AGAIN, WITH THE NEW GROWTH MODEL LAST YEAR, WE WENT FROM SCALE SCORE GROWTH IN 2022 TO TRANSITION GROWTH FOR 2023.

AND SO THAT THAT THAT MODEL DID.

WE HAD LESS KIDS BEING SHOWING GROWTH BASED ON THAT MODEL.

SO NEXT YEAR THEY'RE GOING TO GIVE US THAT PROGRESS MONITORING PIECE BACK.

SO WE HAVE MORE OF A COMPARISON BETWEEN THOSE TWO METHODOLOGIES NEXT YEAR.

AND HERE, WHICH IS WHERE WE REALLY WANT TO CELEBRATE THAT THESE KIDS WHO THE PRIOR YEAR WERE, DID NOT MEET GRADE LEVEL.

BEING A FORMER INTERVENTION TEACHER AND WATCHING A KID WHO HADN'T PASSED AN ASSESSMENT EVER FINALLY PASSING ONE, IT'S JUST AMAZING WHAT IT DOES FOR THEIR CONFIDENCE.

AND SO THAT'S WHAT WE WANT TO DO.

WE WANT TO GET THOSE KIDS. BECAUSE THE GREATEST INDICATOR OF HOW A STUDENT PERFORMS ON STAAR FOR THIS YEAR IS HOW THEY PERFORM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.

SO IF WE CAN GET THOSE KIDS NOT AT APPROACHES, I MEAN, WE'LL TAKE IT FOR ACCOUNTABILITY PURPOSE, BUT WE WANT TO GET THOSE KIDS TO MEETS, GETTING THEM TO THAT LEVEL.

THEY'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO PERFORM AT THAT LEVEL AND BE READY TO GO TO COLLEGE IF THEY CHOOSE TO.

THEN WE'RE GOING TO DISCUSS OUR DROPOUT AND GRADUATION RATES.

SO OUR ANNUAL GRADUATION RATE DOES GO FOR SEVENTH THROUGH 12TH GRADERS IS NOT JUST HIGH SCHOOLERS.

SO WE WANT TO ITERATE THAT THAT THAT INCLUDES OUR SEVENTH THROUGH 12TH GRADERS THERE.

AND THE FOUR YEAR LONGITUDINAL RATE IS WHAT PERCENT OF OUR KIDS WHEN THEY ENTER NINTH GRADE IN THEIR COHORT, GRADUATES FOUR YEARS LATER.

IT'S NOT SAYING THAT THOSE KIDS WHO DON'T GRADUATE OR DON'T GRADUATE, THEY MIGHT GRADUATE IN FIVE YEARS.

AND THEN THERE'S BECAUSE OF OUR SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM, MIGHT BE SIX YEARS, BUT, THIS ONE IS PARTICULARLY GRADUATING FOUR YEARS LATER.

SO AS WE CAN SEE.

OUR DROPOUT RATE IS REALLY LOW.

IT'S JUST A FRACTION OF WHAT IT IS FOR THE STATE IN THE REGION, AND EVEN OUR HIGHEST GROUP IS STILL HALF OF WHAT THE STATE REGION IS.

IT'S LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT THE STATE AND THE REGION IS.

IT'S NOT SOMETHING, YOU KNOW, WE WANT TO BRAG ABOUT.

WE WANT TO GET THAT LOWER. WE WANT KIDS TO COMPLETE THEIR EDUCATION BECAUSE IT JUST GIVES THEM SO MANY MORE OPPORTUNITIES ONCE THEY GRADUATE.

THIS IS A THREE YEAR TREND FOR A DROP OUT RATE.

YOU SEE THAT WE DID HAVE A, AND AGAIN THIS IS BY COHORT.

SO THIS IS THAT 2022 SCHOOL GROUP WE'RE TALKING ABOUT.

SO IN 20-21 WE DID SEE WHERE WE HAD AN INCREASE IN OUR DROP OUT RATE.

BUT WE CAME BACK IN 2022 AND CUT THAT BY MORE THAN HALF.

AND A FOUR YEAR LONGITUDINAL RATE.

WE CONTINUE TO HOLD STEADY AS A DISTRICT AT ALMOST 198% THERE FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS.

SO WE DO GRADUATE OUR KIDS, THE MAJORITY OF OUR KIDS, AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR KIDS IN FOUR YEARS.

AND HERE'S THE SAME DATA BY ETHNICITIES.

SO AGAIN, WE HAVE OVER 90% FOR, YOU KNOW, OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS GRADUATING ALL THE STUDENT GROUPS IN FOUR YEARS.
